Pendant Heights

The most frequently asked question we receive is “Is this Pendant adjustable in Height?”

And the answer is YES! All of our Pendant Lights are fully adjustable in height up to 1200mm.

This means that you can hang any of our Pendants as close to the ceiling as you would like, or as low as 1200mm from the ceiling.

If you would like to hang your pendant lower than 1200mm, simply ask your electrician to rewire the pendant with a longer cable at the length you require. This is an easy process and is regularly being done by many of our customers.

 

Pendant Lighting Tips

• Don’t be afraid to mix and match the colour of cables. Simply ask your electrician for a particular colour of cable. This can add flare and make a pendant just that little bit more interesting.

• It’s all about the exposed cable.  In 2012 we saw many low hanging single pendants with excessive cable exposed and this trend will no doubt extend into 2013. Exposed cable can give an ultra modern industrial look that is creative and fun.

• Play around with the height. Although you may have a particular height for your pendant already determined, play around with different heights when the electrician is installing the pendant, and you might be surprised by how differently a low or high pendant can affect a space.

• Always stick to the High & Low traffic rule when hanging a pendant. If your ceiling is average height and you wish to hang a pendant over a high traffic area such as a hallway, then always hang a pendant high. If you wish to hang a pendant over a low traffic area such as over a kitchen bench top or dining table, then try and hang the pendant low.
