Strip lighting has become the latest craze in LED lighting and is being used in many different ways to create beautifully subtle lighting effects. Here are some of the reasons why flexible LED strip lighting has become such a popular lighting choice…

• Cut to measure – All LED strip lighting orders can be cut to the exact length you require.

• Wide range of wattages to choose from – Due to the array of applications in which flexible LED strip lights are being used, there is wide range of lumen outputs to choose from starting from 4.8w as the lowest wattage per metre to the brightest strip of 24w per metre.

• Different colour options – LED strip lights are most commonly sold in either the Warm White or Daylight colour temperature but are also available in Red, Blue, Green and RGB. An RGB LED strip can be changed to any colour with a multi function remote or RGB wireless touch panel controller which also allows the strip to function in many ways, such as flashing, multi-colour rotation, and dimming.

• Long lifetime- When installed correctly on a metal surface the estimated lifetime of flexible LED strip lights is 50,000 hours. LED strip lights create a small amount of heat which needs to escape and can only do so when installed onto a metal surface. The adhesive seal also can peal overtime if not placed onto a metal surface. So for the longest lifetime and best results, the installation of LED strip lights need to be done so correctly and

• Flexible application – Because of the flexible nature of these strips, unlike many other lighting products they can be used on curved and angled surfaces.

• Wide range of excursions – There are many surface mounted, recessed, suspended and corner aluminium profile excursions available for a wide range of applications. Excursions can be cut to any desired length up to a maximum of 3 meters.

• Hidden lighting effect – Lighting in the 21^st century has become more and more camouflaged in a home, from LED downlights to now LED strip lighting, which gives a beautiful light source without the eyesore of the light fitting. We predict that in the not too distant future the main light source for homes will be provided by LED strip lighting in false ceilings which gives a beautiful and subtle, but purposeful lighting effect.

• IP Ratings – There are three different IP ratings available for LED strip lights. These are IP20 (indoors), IP54 (weather proof) and IP67 (waterproof/submersible)
